The Al NAJJAR family has been making authentic Aleppo soap since 1895, according to an ancestral artisanal know-how. Aleppo soap is the first hard soap made for centuries, it is the ancestor of Marseille soap. This know-how is passed on from generation to generation in the family soap factory.
Every year, from the end of November to the end of March, the production of the first hard soap in the world is repeated according to an unchanging process. The soaps then dry for at least nine months. During this period the soaps oxidise on the surface and take on a yellow/brown colour, the core retains the green colour of the oils that make it up.
Najel Aleppo soap is made exclusively from olive oil and bay laurel oil, two noble oils that give it many virtues. Saponified olive oil is a powerful cleanser that nourishes, protects and softens the skin. Laurel berry oil is known for its disinfectant and regenerative properties. The higher its concentration, the more soothing the soap is for irritated skin or skin with problems (psoriasis, eczema, acne, dermatitis).
Made from traditional Aleppo soap 200 g, Najel compressed soap with organic jasmine combines the virtues of Aleppo soap with those of organic jasmine floral water.
Called queen of the night, the jasmine flower is native to India. It is a great success in China and throughout the Middle East for its delicate and soothing scent. It was around 1560 that Europe discovered this precious flower, thanks to the numerous voyages of Spanish sailors.
